Clinical Endocrinology Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Endocrinology Specialist to join our team at Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. The successful candidate will work as a senior member of the Diabetes and Endocrine Multi-Disciplinary Team, providing endocrinology nursing expertise to patients and healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities">- Assess, triage, and diagnose endocrine conditions and review longstanding endocrine conditions, including complex patients as outpatients and inpatients.
- Independently order, undertake, interpret, and act upon diagnostic tests and results for endocrinology patients.
- Develop and implement evidence-based endocrinology care plans in conjunction with relevant healthcare professionals.
- Liaise and support primary and secondary care clinicians in relation to management of endocrine clinical care.
The ideal candidate will possess a 1st Level Registered Nurse degree or equivalent, with significant experience working in a band 6 role or equivalent. A MSC qualification or level of study is also desirable. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and presentation skills, a proven track record of initiating and implementing change management, and the ability to cope and meet deadlines within a challenging environment.
