Protocol Education Ltd is seeking a qualified and experienced Teaching Assistant to support students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in their learning and development.
Location: North East England, County Durham, Darlington
Job Type: Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours

About the RoleAs a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for providing one-to-one support to students to help them achieve their academic goals and implementing behaviour management strategies to promote positive relationships between students and educators.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one support to students to help them achieve their academic goals
- Assist teachers in planning and delivering educational activities
- Implement behaviour management strategies to promote positive relationships
- Collaborate with educational professionals and parents to create individualised learning plans
Requirements:
- Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting
- Understanding of SEMH and its impact on learning and behaviour
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Working Conditions:
- This role involves working in a school environment with children and young people
- Full-time hours with occasional requirement for flexibility
- Temporary position with the potential for extension
