We are seeking a highly skilled Curriculum Developer to join our team at North East Ambition. In this role, you will design and implement engaging educational programmes for primary-aged children with special education needs (SEN).

About the Role

As Curriculum Developer, you will create high-quality, targeted individual programmes that meet the unique needs of students with SEN. You will maintain a deep understanding of the National Curriculum and its application in supporting students with diverse learning requirements.

  • Create innovative strategies for teaching students with SEMH and/or ASD.
  • Evaluate programme effectiveness through regular assessments and make data-driven decisions to improve student outcomes.
  • Develop strong relationships with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure a cohesive support system for students with SEN.
Suitable Candidates
  1. Possess a teaching qualification (QTS/QTLS) specific to primary education.
  2. Demonstrate an excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum and its implementation in SEN settings.
  3. Hold relevant experience in teaching students with SEN, particularly those with SEMH and/or ASD.
  4. Show a commitment to upholding high standards and inspiring students with varied needs.
  5. Possess a valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle with business insurance, as frequent travel between locations is required.
