Job Description

This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of our external-facing team, shaping the strategy for our Devices business in the French Retail channel. As Retail Channel Manager, you will have autonomy to own and build retail partnerships, with sales responsibility for our key product categories: Echo, FireTV, and Kindle.

You'll be responsible for managing our strategic partners, building relationships with key external retailers, and setting the sales and marketing strategy to drive growth across our Devices and the wider Smart Home category. Your goal will be to define and implement plans that best serve new and existing customers, while exceeding financial objectives that prioritize long-term over short-term gains.

A successful candidate will possess strong commercial acumen, with the ability to develop deep and integrated partnerships to unlock and maximize Amazon Device growth. They will be a conscientious thinker, with the energy to move at pace, and an expert in consumer electronic retail dynamics, trends, and challenges.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement Amazon Devices retail strategy in France, fostering greater collaboration with existing strategic retailer partners and identifying new retail sales opportunities.
  • Negotiate commercial Terms and Conditions with new and existing customers, seeking win-win solutions for both Amazon and retail partners.
  • Develop and execute annual joint business plans, including marketing and in-store/digital execution strategies.
  • Prepare and organize regular business reviews, working on long-term initiatives to bring closer collaboration between Amazon and our partners.
  • Coordinate new product launches, influencing launch timelines based upon channel restrictions and ensuring go-to-market activities are executed flawlessly across all retail partners.
  • Presentation and sales of Amazon devices externally to senior audiences, with an excellent understanding of product features and retail partner needs.
Requirements
  • Fluent in English and French, with several years of professional experience positioning and selling innovative solutions to new and existing customers and market segments.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products and applications, as well as experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of work experience in a relevant field.

The estimated salary for this position is £80,000-£110,000 per annum, depending on location and experience. We are open to this person being based in London or Paris. This is a Fixed Term Contract for 12 months.
