About Us:

We are seeking a skilled social worker to join our team in Somerset. As a social worker, you will be committed to providing high-quality support to children and families in need. You will work alongside adult-focused practitioners to inform assessments and plans, focusing on specialist areas such as substance misuse, domestic abuse, and mental health.

You will have a manageable caseload, allowing you to be innovative and creative in your approach. Direct work with children and young people will be a key part of your role, ensuring their voice is heard and their experiences understood. You will also work with parents and the wider family network, utilizing Family Group Conferencing to support them in identifying strengths, tackling problems, and changing interactions and behaviors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake assessments and develop plans in collaboration with adult-focused practitioners
  • Provide direct work with children and young people to ensure their voices are amplified
  • Work with parents and the wider family network to facilitate positive change
  • Participate in regular supervision and reflective practice sessions
