Position OverviewAs a highly sought-after sales professional, you will be responsible for selling Medscape's Commercial Services to healthcare professionals within global and regional teams in the Life Sciences industry. This role requires exceptional relationship-building skills and knowledge of promotional and medical solution selling within the healthcare sector.
The successful candidate will have primary responsibility for acquiring, managing, and expanding new client accounts throughout their assigned territory and in related client subsidiaries worldwide. Additionally, they will manage, maintain, and grow existing accounts.
You will develop and maintain excellent relationships with clients, possess the drive of a hunter in securing new business opportunities, and provide support services in sales, client services, marketing, and operations.
Frequent travel is required to client meetings and medical conferences, primarily in Europe but also in the USA and other locations.
Key Responsibilities- Sell Medscape's Commercial Services to healthcare professionals within global and regional teams in the Life Sciences industry.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, driving growth and expansion of new and existing accounts.
- Manage and maintain a portfolio of client relationships, ensuring continued satisfaction and loyalty.
- Travel frequently to client meetings and medical conferences, representing Medscape and promoting its services.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in sales, preferably in the pharmaceutical, medical device, or biotech industries.
- Demonstrable results from selling to senior brand managers and/or medical teams within pharmaceutical companies and tier-one advertising agencies.
- Fluency in digital media, advertising, and educational activities within big pharma.
- Excellent presentation and interaction skills, with the ability to present to and successfully interact with senior management of prospect organizations.
- Ability to sell at a strategic level, developing deep and sustained client relationships based on value.
- Prioritizing innovation and digital advancements.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of professional staff from various disciplines and backgrounds.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure sales environment.
- A self-starting, independent worker with drive and determination.
- Technical proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Microsoft Word.
- A Bachelor's Degree is preferred, but not mandatory.
- Fluency in multiple languages is advantageous.
- Basic Salary: A highly competitive salary, depending on experience ($140,000 - $160,000 per annum)
