The University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled and organized digital receptionist to join our Ophthalmology department. In this exciting role, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional patient care and support to our patients.
About the Role
As a Digital Receptionist, you will be responsible for welcoming patients, booking appointments, and managing administrative tasks with accuracy and efficiency. You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in a fast-paced environment, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide seamless patient care.
Key Responsibilities
• Welcome patients and respond to their queries in a polite and courteous manner
• Book patients into the department using the trust's IT system
• Perform various administrative duties, including typing letters, photocopying, and answering the telephone
• Discharge patients from the system once fully trained
• Handle queries face-to-face or over the phone
• Stay up-to-date with new developments within the job role and participate in training and development opportunities as identified
• Improve existing skills and develop new skills to meet the needs of the service
• Manage competing demands and multi-task effectively
Person Specification
• Basic keyboard skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to manage competing demands and multitask effectively
• Previous experience in dealing with patients/customers and basic admin tasks
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Sympathetic attitude and ability to work well under pressure
• Integrity and strong decision-making skills
• Salary: £23,615 Per annum (plus benefits)
