About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team in London. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the event catering industry, with established relationships with unique venues across London.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales and Business Development:
    • Identify and develop new business opportunities to drive growth.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including venue managers, event planners, and corporate clients.
    • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and opportunities within the event catering industry.
    • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets.
  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Act as the main point of contact for new and existing clients.
    • Provide personalized and high-quality customer service to ensure client satisfaction.
    • Conduct client meetings, presentations, and tastings to showcase our services and capabilities.
    • Negotiate contracts and close deals to secure new business.
  • Collaboration and Coordination:
    • Work closely with the operations, culinary, and event planning teams to ensure seamless execution of events.
    • Coordinate with marketing to develop promotional materials and campaigns.
    • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote our brand and expand our network.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
    • Monitor sales performance and provide regular reports to senior management.
    • Analyse sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
    • Develop and manage a pipeline of prospective clients and projects.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Business Development Manager in the event catering industry.
  • Established network of contacts within unique venues in London.
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills with a proactive and results-driven approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Knowledge of the London event scene and current industry trends.
  • A passion for food, events, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
