About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Senior Management Team as Director of Policy and Advocacy. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in shaping our policy and advocacy work, driving strategic influence, and securing policy change.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective policy and advocacy strategies to drive organisational goals and objectives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including policymakers, influencers, and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform policy and advocacy work, and develop compelling arguments and messaging.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement campaigns and initiatives that drive policy change.
  • Represent the organisation externally, including through media and public speaking engagements.

Requirements:

  • Substantial experience of influencing policy and political debates through advocacy, communications, and campaigning.
  • Exceptional political judgement and understanding of how to shift public debates and secure policy change.
  • Ability to analyse and communicate complex issues, and devise and deliver highly strategic and adaptable multi-stakeholder influencing programmes.
  • Strong relationships with key stakeholders, including policymakers, influencers, and other stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to represent the organisation externally.
