We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Policy and Advocacy to join our team at the Elton John AIDS Foundation. As a key member of our Senior Leadership Team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing an advocacy strategy that drives measurable wins for people living with and at risk of AIDS.

You will work closely with our teams across the Foundation to build impactful influencing strategies and deliver nuanced influencing, advocacy, and policy education approaches. Your expertise will ensure that those affected by AIDS are at the heart of all we do and that we support and work in partnership with health policy makers to bring us closer to our vision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement an advocacy strategy that drives measurable wins for people living with and at risk of AIDS.
  • Work closely with our teams across the Foundation to build impactful influencing strategies and deliver nuanced influencing, advocacy, and policy education approaches.
  • Ensure that those affected by AIDS are at the heart of all we do and that we support and work in partnership with health policy makers to bring us closer to our vision.
  • Lead the charity's strategic outcomes in policy and advocacy.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in policy and advocacy, with a strong track record of delivering results.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement effective advocacy strategies.
  • Strong understanding of the AIDS epidemic and the role of advocacy in addressing it.
