About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Senior Management Team as a Director of Policy and Advocacy. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in shaping our policy and advocacy work, driving strategic influence, and contributing to organisational effectiveness and impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective policy and advocacy strategies to drive organisational goals and objectives
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including policymakers, influencers, and other stakeholders
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform policy and advocacy work, and develop robust economic analysis to underpin policy decisions
  • Develop and deliver high-impact communications and campaigning programmes to secure policy change and shift public debates
  • Represent the Economic Change Unit externally, managing staff and contributing to organisational effectiveness and impact
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Substantial experience of influencing policy and political debates through advocacy, communications, and campaigning
  • Exceptional political judgement and understanding of how to shift public debates and secure policy change
  • Ability to analyse and communicate complex issues, and devise and deliver highly strategic and adaptable multi-stakeholder influencing programmes
  • Strong relationships with key stakeholders, including policymakers, influencers, and other stakeholders
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and contribute to organisational effectiveness and impact
