Highways Network Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Principal Highways Officer at Lincolnshire County Council.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of Local Highways Officers, ensuring the safe and efficient maintenance of our highway network. This will involve:

  • Leading a team of professionals to deliver a high-quality reactive highway service, with a focus on improving our response to drainage and flooding issues.
  • Working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure those affected by highway issues receive the best possible response and service.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to improve our highway infrastructure, including the management of vegetation, road markings, and sign repairs.
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure a coordinated approach to highway maintenance and improvement.

The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, be self-motivated, and possess excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills. They will also have a valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle to enable them to be mobile across the County.
