Occupational Therapy Specialist

">About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapy Specialist to join our team in Scarborough. This is a 6-month fixed-term post, working with our urgent community response and intermediate care team.

">Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality clinical triage for referrals, offering advice and guidance to referrers and liaising with internal teams and partner organisations.
  • Be part of an interdisciplinary team delivering patient-centred care to maximise independence, confidence, and ability.
  • Demonstrate specialist clinical skills for patients needing UCR or Intermediate Care support.
  • Support patients with individualised goal setting, education, and care plans.
  • Provide line management, supervision, support, guidance, and training to peers and students.
">Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A professional knowledge acquired through degree or equivalent, plus short specialist courses.
  • Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Previous experience working as a community-based Occupational Therapist.

Salary: £37,338 - £44,962 per annum
