Occupational Therapy Assistant

Location: Scarborough, ON
onTrack Occupational Therapy Services is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) and Physiotherapist Assistant (PTA) to work on a casual/on-call basis at a 20-bed short-term transitional unit.
This unit collaborates with local hospitals to assist patients in transitioning back to their homes or communities, primarily handling medical and orthopaedic cases.
- Administer programs developed by the OT/PT for individual clients, such as exercise programs, feeding or dressing programs, and assistive device training;
- Promote the physical, psychosocial, and spiritual well-being of clients and families;
- Graduation from a recognized Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist Assistant program is required;
- Preferred experience in a Rehabilitation/Complex Continuing Care or Acute Care Hospital;
- Previous work experience in a healthcare setting under the direction of an OT/PT is an asset;
