Urgent Care Therapy Team Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist to join our Same Day Emergency Care Therapy team on the East Coast. As a key member of the team, you will provide assessment, treatment, and management advice for patients, prioritizing and managing the daily caseload. You will also assess and deliver therapy interventions, ensuring the highest professional standards of care are maintained.

Main duties of the job

  1. Contribute to the delivery of therapy services across the team, working alongside the senior leadership team.
  2. Provide specialist advice to therapy staff and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
  3. Participate in and provide clinical and management supervision.
  4. Contribute to and lead on service improvement and quality initiatives.
  5. Acknowledge and adhere to all Trust policies and procedures.

Person Specification

Education, Qualifications & Training

  1. HCPC registered Physiotherapist/OT.
  2. Degree in Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy.
  3. Evidence of postgraduate training within specialist area (Neurology/Parkinson's Disease).
  4. Evidence of theoretical learning relevant to role (Neurology/Parkinson's Disease).

Experience & Knowledge Required

  1. Experience in a relevant junior role, including the management of a range of acute conditions.
  2. Delivery of relevant audit/research projects.
  3. Understanding of current issues in healthcare Standards of Professional Practice.
