Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is seeking a seasoned Sales Director to lead the Business Development team in EMEA.

Job Overview

The Sales Director will be responsible for driving revenue growth and room night contribution into our global hotel portfolio across all brands. They will proactively develop and manage key accounts, delivering RFP acceptances from corporate clients into our hotels. This position requires a consultative sales approach, working closely with clients and their nominated travel intermediaries to form strong relationships and drive market share for our hotels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Corporate Account Development: Build robust relationships with Global Travel buyers and decision-makers from key corporations, focusing on increasing RFP acceptances, tracked revenues, and market share annually through CVENT Transient and GDS platforms.
  • Business Travel Account Development: Develop strategic partnerships with Account Directors/Managers from clients' nominated TMCs/Consortia to drive demand, market share, and revenues into our WHR portfolio.
  • Franchisee Relations: Collaborate with franchise partners to understand their needs and product offerings, educating them on engaging with Global Sales and the RFP process.
  • Internal Relations & Systems: Work collaboratively with Wyndham colleagues to ensure business success, identifying and nurturing key constituents that support achieving goals, utilizing business tools and systems to achieve targets.
  • Industry Participation: Represent WHR at industry events such as conferences and trade shows, becoming an active member of relevant associations and institutions.
  • Leadership Development: Take responsibility for personal and professional development, preparing for next-level responsibilities.
Scope/Financial Responsibility

The Sales Director will be accountable for a portfolio of named accounts throughout EMEA, each with potential WHR market share revenue value exceeding $50,000. They will have an annual individual revenue goal agreed with their line manager and participate in the WHR GSO Individual Sales Incentive Plan.

Abilities/ Key Competencies/ Skills
  • Comprehensive commercial knowledge of the hospitality sector within EMEA, particularly Business Travel.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve goals and targets.
  • Flexibility to adjust to changing business needs, taking on new ideas, initiatives, brands, and responsibilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work with people at all levels and backgrounds.
  • Strong professional presentation skills.
  • Ability to stay objective and fair in sensitive situations, maintaining constructive working relations.
  • Passionate self-starter with initiative, confidence, professionalism, and good judgment.
  • Results-oriented and dependable, making business decisions with integrity and honesty.
Experience/Certificates/Education
  • College/University Degree or equivalent experience, ideally within hospitality or commercial disciplines.
  • Significant experience in hotel sales (property, national sales, or global sales) in property, cluster, or corporate office environments.
  • Full local driving license preferred.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is essential, with additional European language an advantage.
  • Highest level of competency in Microsoft Office programs required.
  • Previous experience working with lead generation and CRM systems is essential.
  • Experience navigating hotel-specific operating and reservation systems is an advantage.

Estimated Salary Range: £60,000 - £90,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
