Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Business Development Specialist to join our team at Access Appointments Consultancy Limited. In this role, you will be responsible for promoting and developing new business opportunities for both Japanese and UK/European corporations.

About the Role

  • You will carry out business activities to support investment in Japan and collaboration with Japanese companies by local companies with innovative technologies and products in the fields of sustainability, digital, and Deeptech in Europe.
  • You will approach target companies through various means such as exhibitions, conferences, networking events, cold emails, and social media platforms like LinkedIn.
  • You will consult on investing in Japan for target companies, including research, proposals, responding to inquiries, creating minutes, follow-up, and case management.
  • You will support business matching for target companies and follow up on existing case companies, managing information and understanding performance.
  • You will network with relevant organizations in each country to discover target companies.
  • You will plan and support pitch events/reverse pitch events to discover target companies and matching collaborative partnerships.
  • You will coordinate with the relevant departments at headquarters in Japan.

Requirements

  1. You must have a native level of English and conversational Japanese language skills.
  2. Industrial knowledge and practical experience in the fields of sustainability, digital, or Deeptech is preferred.
  3. You should have work experience within a corporate business environment.
  4. You must have a thorough understanding of social, cultural, and business customs in the UK.
  5. You should have excellent communication skills to build good relationships with potential local businesses.
  6. You must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams, and Salesforce.

What We Offer

  • An on-going full-time temporary contract to start with.
  • A salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
  • Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week.
