Opportunity Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our TPS Carlisle team, focusing on parts sales. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for handling external sales enquiries and achieving allocated sales targets for Volkswagen TPS.

Your primary objective will be to develop and maintain long-term relationships with customers, providing expert knowledge, advice, and support. You will efficiently process all parts orders and ensure that stock purchase records are correctly maintained. Additionally, you will represent the TPS brand professionally and adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.

You will have regular business customers requiring account management and product upsell. Your tasks will include accurately identifying parts to meet customer sales requirements, utilizing product promotions effectively to achieve specific targets, and maintaining own knowledge levels on new or updated parts through training courses and information from bulletins, catalogues, and recalls.

About You

  • Prior experience in a parts or distribution operation involving regular telephone contact with retail and trade customers or experience selling in a fast-paced environment is essential.
  • Strong ability to build trusting relationships with customers and colleagues is crucial.
  • Excellent communication skills, including a professional telephone manner, are necessary for success in this role.
  • Able to relate well to others and work as part of a team, demonstrating attention to detail and accurate record-keeping.

Job Requirements

  • Full-time position, Monday to Friday schedule, with weekend availability.

  • Estimated salary range: £25,000 - £35,000 per year, depending on experience.
