About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR Adviser to join our team at Selwood Housing Group. As an HR Adviser, you will play a critical role in providing expert advice and support to employees and management, ensuring that our organization remains compliant with employment laws and best practices.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced HR professional to make a tangible difference across the business. You will work closely with our highly experienced HR team to provide invaluable advice and support, handling a diverse range of HR functions, including performance management, policy development, and change initiatives.

As an HR Adviser, you will have the opportunity to flex your skills and experience, working on a variety of projects and initiatives that will drive better outcomes for our organization. You will collaborate with colleagues across the business, continuously reviewing and improving our HR metrics to drive better outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice and support to employees and management on HR-related matters
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and best practices
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures
  • Manage employee relations and resolve conflicts
  • Conduct performance management and development
  • Lead change initiatives and projects
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve HR metrics and drive better outcomes
Requirements
  • Minimum CIPD qualification level 3 or above
  • Previous experience as a HR adviser or similar role
  • Strong experience in Employee Relations
  • Knowledge of employment policies and case law
  • Experience and confidence to advise and influence others
  • An organised approach with strong attention to detail
  • Experience using people metrics
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels of the organisation

The HR team is in the office a minimum of one day a week, although this can vary depending on demand, and during the odd exceptionally busy week you may be on-site anywhere from - 5 days.
