**Job Overview**

GSL Education is currently recruiting for a Special Needs Support Professional to work in special needs schools around Birmingham & Oldbury. This role involves providing support to children with challenging behaviour and SEN requirements.

**About the Role**

  • Provide 1:1 behaviour support to pupils with challenging behaviour and SEN requirements.
  • Implement structures to manage challenging behaviour, being proactive and engaging.
  • Act as a positive role model and provide nurture support.
  • Offer numeracy and literacy booster sessions out of the classroom.
  • De-escalate heightened situations.

The ideal candidate has experience working with challenging behaviour in an education or support setting.

**Requirements**

  • Enhanced DBS Child and Adult Check on the update service.
  • Two professional references.
  • Teaching Assistant Level 2 Qualification or similar.

**Compensation Package**

We offer a competitive daily rate between £83 and £87, depending on experience. This role also has potential for permanent placement for the right candidate.

**Location**

This position is based in Oldbury and surrounding areas.
