Job Summary

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Special Needs Support Worker to join our team in Birmingham. As a valued member of our team, you will work closely with children with challenging behaviour and SEN requirements.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children. You will provide one-to-one behaviour support, implement strategies to manage challenging behaviour, and act as a positive role model. Your expertise will be invaluable in helping children overcome their challenges and achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities
  • Provide individualised behaviour support to pupils with complex needs, including SLD and PMLD.
  • Develop and implement effective behaviour management strategies to promote positive outcomes.
  • Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment, always prioritising the well-being of the children.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to deliver numeracy and literacy booster sessions out of the classroom.
  • De-escalate volatile situations and provide emotional support to children experiencing distress.
Requirements
  • A Level 2 Qualification in Teaching Assistant or similar qualification.
  • An Enhanced DBS Check (Child and Adult) that is up-to-date.
  • Two professional references that demonstrate your ability to work effectively with children and young people.
What We Offer

In return for your hard work and dedication, we offer a competitive salary of £85 per day, depending on experience, and the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment. This is a temporary position, but there may be opportunities for permanent employment in the future.
