Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Support Worker to join our team in a special education setting. The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification and experience working with students who require additional support due to challenging behaviour, Autism, ADHD, or other Special Educational Needs (SEN).

The successful candidate will provide one-to-one support to students, implementing behaviour management strategies and de-escalating volatile situations. They will also contribute to the development of individualised plans to meet the needs of each student.

In this role, you will be part of a supportive team that prioritises the well-being and educational success of our students. If you are passionate about making a positive impact on young lives and have the skills and experience to match, we encourage you to apply.

About the Role:

  • Provide one-to-one support to students with complex needs, including those with challenging behaviour, Autism, and SEN.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies to promote a positive learning environment.
  • Contribute to the development of individualised plans to meet the needs of each student.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to ensure a cohesive approach to student support.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience working with students who require additional support due to challenging behaviour, Autism, or other SEN.
  • Enhanced DBS Child and Adult Check must be on the update service.
  • Two professional references.
