The Job

We are currently seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Special School in [Location]. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for supporting pupils with severe, profound, and complex learning difficulties, including medical needs.

  • Providing individualized support to students with complex needs, including medical requirements.
  • Participating in classroom activities and ensuring students are engaged and working towards their learning goals.
  • Fostering positive relationships with students, promoting their emotional and social development.
  • Collaborating with teaching staff to develop and implement tailored strategies for learning and behaviour management.
  • Supporting students with personal care needs and assisting with mobility, feeding, and other medical needs.
  • Utilizing specialist equipment, such as sensory and hydrotherapy tools, to enhance students' learning and development.
  • Contributing to students' individualized education plans (IEPs) and documenting their progress.

Salary Range: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, commensurate with experience
