Job Overview

Black Country Job Support is seeking a highly skilled and experienced mental health professional to join our Crisis Home Treatment Team as a Deputy Ward Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to patients with acute mental health symptoms, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement effective treatment plans.

Main Duties

  • Manage a team of mental health professionals to provide intensive support to patients and their families.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the team to ensure high-quality care is delivered.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions.

Person Specification

  • Essential:
    • Education/Qualification: RMN, current registration, evidence of continued development.
    • Experience: managing acute mental illness, previous Band 5 post, case management, strong clinical leadership, audit processes.
    • Knowledge: Mental Health Act, Mental Health/Diagnosis, Risk Assessment, Capacity/DolS/ Infection Control.
    • Skills/Personal Qualities: Interpersonal skills, willingness for professional development, ability to manage emergency situations, self-motivated.
  • Desirable:
    • Mentor Qualification.
