Our client is one of the UK leading Cold rolled forming companies.
- They provide products for the construction and manufacturing industries with focus on added value through design, precision manufacturing and on-time in full product deliveries.
- This role is of key importance to the continued growth and development of the company reporting in the Technical Manager.
- The ideal tool room operative will have proven hands-on experience within a press tool environment with experience in manufacturing working to deadlines.
- The tool room operative is expected to support the day-to-day production activities working within a team to provide preventative maintenance, breakdown cover and development to support the manufacturing division.
- **Role Overview**:

- As a Tool Room Operative, you will play a crucial role in our clients manufacturing process. Your responsibilities will include operating standard tool room equipment, ensuring timely production, and maintaining high-quality standards.
- You'll collaborate with colleagues, suppliers, and contractors to achieve the business objectives.
- **Person Specification**:
We are looking for an individual who possesses the following qualifications and attributes:
- Engineering Drawings: Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.- Bench Fitting Experience: Essential for this role.- CNC & Manual Milling: Preferred experience with Siemens ShopMill and XYZ Prototrak Control.- Tooling Skills: Experience in piercing, forming, and cut-off tooling.- EDM Wire Erosion: Familiarity with EDM wire erosion techniques is useful.- Organized & Self-Motivated: Well-organized, multi-skilled, and self-driven.- Time Management: Able to prioritize tasks and work under tight deadlines.- Computer Literacy: Proficient in using computer systems for communication and record-keeping.- Attention to Detail: Accuracy is paramount in all work carried out.- Effective Communication: Able to communicate effectively at all levels.- Eligibility to Work in the UK: Must be eligible and able to prove your right to work in the UK (no sponsorship license available).**Your Responsibilities**:

- Operate standard tool room equipment proficiently.- Use a forklift truck to assist with daily duties and tooling deliveries.- Ensure timely manufacturing to meet try-out dates.- Respond promptly to breakdowns to minimize production downtime.- Maintain a "right first time" approach to all work.- Collaborate with contractors and suppliers, agreeing on timescales and costs.- Comply with Health & Safety regulations and company rules.- Follow verbal and written instructions, adhering to set procedures.- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to business KPIs.**On offer**:
Hours: 7.30am - 4pm Monday - Thursday, 7.30am - 12.30pm Friday. 37 Hours Per Week.
