About the Role:

The Family Development Specialist is a key member of the Coastal Community Action, Inc. (CCA) team, working under the Community Services Block Grant Program (CSBG) to connect families with community resources and one-on-one support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Family Goal Setting and Support: Collaborate with families to set and achieve goals, providing guidance and resources to promote self-sufficiency and stability.
  • Crisis Intervention and Stabilization: Develop and implement crisis intervention plans to address immediate needs and provide ongoing support to ensure family stability.
  • Case Management and Coordination: Manage ongoing case analysis, identifying family needs and developing strategies to meet those needs through collaboration with community resources and services.
  • Resource Development and Referral: Research and connect families with community resources, services, and funding opportunities to supplement program funding and meet community needs.
  • Record Keeping and Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, data tracking, and case notes in accordance with state and federal program guidelines, as well as agency policies and procedures.
  • Referral and Partnership Development: Respond to referrals from internal staff, community partners, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery and collaboration.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Services or a related field.
  • Experience: Three or more years of experience in case management and working with low-income families.
  • Certifications and Clearances: Valid background clearance.
