Job Summary:
Polaris Community is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in a residential adolescent care setting. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to young people with challenging behavior.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support and care to young people, promoting their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with young people, their families, and other stakeholders.
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of personalized care plans, ensuring the needs of each young person are met.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a safe and supportive living environment.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of young people's progress and care.
Requirements:
- Full manual driving license.
- Previous experience working with young people with challenging behavior (desirable).
- Commitment to working towards a fully funded qualification in level 3 Children and Young People (or already qualified).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, maintaining clear and accurate records.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Empathetic nature and ability to engage, motivate, and encourage young people.
- Ability to complete daily records to meet statutory and policy requirements.
