Wayman Learning Trust is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our primary school in Hammersmith. As a vital member of our team, you will play a key role in fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment that allows all students to thrive academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the classroom teacher in delivering tailored lessons and activities designed to enhance student engagement and facilitate meaningful learning experiences.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students with varying special educational needs, helping them achieve their academic and personal goals.
  • Participate in ongoing assessment and monitoring of student progress, identifying individual learning goals and adapting support strategies accordingly.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, encouraging students to develop confidence, independence, and a love for learning.
  • Collaborate with the wider SEN team, including specialists and other support staff, to create a comprehensive support system for students.

  • A patient, compassionate, and adaptable approach to supporting individual learning needs, with the ability to remain calm and supportive in challenging situations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues alike.
  • A commitment to inclusive education, with the flexibility to modify teaching methods based on the diverse needs of students.
  • A current and clear Enhanced DBS check, ensuring the safety and well-being of all students in your care.

What We Offer:
