SEN Support Worker: Empowering Students with Special Needs

Welcome to Wayman Learning Trust, a specialist school in Ealing dedicated to providing exceptional education for students with special educational needs. We are currently seeking a passionate and compassionate SEN Support Worker to join our team.
About the RoleThis full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young learners. As an SEN Support Worker, you will play a vital role in fostering independence, confidence, and a positive learning environment for all students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students during lessons and assist with daily activities, including helping with classroom tasks, encouraging participation, and promoting positive behavior.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and specialists to implement effective learning strategies tailored to each student's individual needs.
- Foster independence and confidence in students by providing guidance and encouragement during educational and personal development activities.
- Participate in the assessment and monitoring of student progress, providing feedback to teachers and contributing to the development of personalized learning plans.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Previous experience in support roles within education or social care, particularly in settings that cater to children with special educational needs.
- An empathetic and supportive nature combined with excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with teachers and contribute to student assessments and reports.
- A commitment to inclusive education and the adaptability to modify support strategies based on the unique needs of each student.
We offer a competitive salary of £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for professional development and growth within the organization. A current Enhanced DBS check is required for this role.
