Job Title: SEN Classroom Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and patient SEN Classroom Assistant to join our team at Wayman Learning Trust. This role is ideal for someone with experience in supporting children with physical disabilities

About the Role:

The successful candidate will provide 1:1 and group support for children with physical disabilities, assisting them in accessing learning activities and daily routines. You will also assist students with mobility, including the use of mobility aids and equipment.

As a SEN Classroom Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt learning materials and classroom layouts to accommodate individual needs. You will also monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to the teaching team and parents.

In this role, you will promote independence and self-confidence in students by encouraging participation in activities. You will also ensure the physical wellbeing of students during school hours, including assistance with personal care when required.

We are looking for someone with a patient, compassionate, and supportive approach to working with students with special needs. If you have experience working with children with physical disabilities in an educational setting, we would like to hear from you.
