Job Summary

The Sales Engineer lives and works at the intersection of sales and engineering, articulating technology and product positioning at executive, business, and technical levels. This role is responsible for driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, ensuring success with all Harness customers and strategizing with sales counterparts to steer customers to a commercial relationship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver world-class presentations and demos of Harness platform to customers and stakeholders
  • Work directly with customers to debug common errors and provide technical support
  • Translate business problems into technical solutions and articulate technology value propositions
  • Drive complex technical engagements with customers to prove the value of Harness solutions
About You
  • You will be responsible for delivering compelling product demonstrations that showcase the value of Harness software to customers
  • You will represent Harness product to customers and at field events such as conferences and seminars
  • You will remain knowledgeable and up-to-date on changes and developments in Harness technologies
  • You either actively develop software, have a prior background as a developer, or worked with developers in a DevOps role
  • Strong cloud knowledge, with experience in infrastructure automation such as Terraform
  • You are able to respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs
  • You are able to convey customer requirements to Engineering teams
  • You are able to travel throughout a sales territory with minimal restrictions and occasionally on short notice
