We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join our Community Older Persons Mental Health Team at Solent NHS Trust.
As a key member of our team, you will work closely with qualified staff to provide high-quality care and support to patients in their own homes.
Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with daily care tasks, developing rapport with patients, and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
We are looking for individuals with excellent communication skills, a flexible approach, and a genuine interest in working within mental health nursing.

Main Responsibilities
- Assist qualified staff in the provision of care as detailed in individual care plans.
- Develop rapport with patients and treat all patients, carers, and staff with dignity and respect.
- Work collaboratively with nursing staff, multi-disciplinary teams, and other allied health professionals.
- Actively participate in team handovers and provide verbal reports as required.
- Use interpersonal and communication skills to de-escalate and reduce aggressive behaviour if encountered from patients and carers.
- Implement agreed standards of care provision in line with local community and Trust policies.
