Mental Health Support Worker

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join our Community Older Persons Mental Health Team at Solent NHS Trust.
As a key member of our team, you will work closely with qualified staff to provide high-quality care and support to patients in their own homes, promoting independence and well-being.
Key responsibilities include assisting with daily care tasks, developing rapport with patients, and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery.
Successful candidates will possess excellent communication skills, a flexible approach, and a genuine interest in working within mental health nursing.
Opportunities for further professional development are available, including apprenticeships for nursing associate and nursing pathways.
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Healthcare qualification Level 2, 3 or working towards gaining equivalent level
- Good basic education or GSCE in English and maths
- Experience in either a hospital or community setting
- Working within a multidisciplinary team
