Job Title: Hospital Finance Director

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Hospital Finance Director to lead our financial operations and provide strategic financial guidance to senior management. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned finance professional to join our dynamic team and contribute to the success of our organisation.

About the Role:
The Hospital Finance Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our hospital's financial operations, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, managing cash flow, and providing strategic financial guidance to senior management. You will be expected to develop and implement effective financial strategies, manage financial risks, and maintain relationships with external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective financial strategies to achieve financial targets and improve efficiency.
  • Manage and maintain all general accounts administration through computerised accounting packages and spreadsheets.
  • Oversee and process sales and purchase ledgers, ensuring accurate and timely financial records.
  • Conduct bank reconciliations regularly, manage petty cash and credit card reconciliations, and investigate any accounting discrepancies or anomalies.
  • Produce management accounts, including profit & loss reports, aged debtors and creditors, and intercompany balancing and recharges.

Requirements:
To be successful as a Hospital Finance Director, you should have:
  • A proven track record of experience in a similar finance management role, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Strong accounting skills and proficiency in finance software and spreadsheet management.
  • Excellent analytical and organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and work collaboratively within a senior management team.
  • A knowledge of payroll processes, PAYE, and pensions regulations.
