We currently have an opportunity for a General Porter working within Theatres department in the Facilities Directorate, based at Scunthorpe General Hospital.

Working in a busy acute hospital you will be required to undertake a range of duties in the provision of portering services, both planned and reactive.

Your role will involve working within a team to provide a high quality Portering Service which offers a timely, responsive and pro-active system for the movement of patients, materials and equipment within the Site and undertake a number of other specified support and ancillary tasks as per the requirements of the service.

Your role will assist the service in providing an efficient, flexible and customer focused portering service, which will provide a comprehensive, planned and reactive Portering Service that is reliable, helpful, efficient and responsive to the needs of Patients, Trust staff and visitors.
which will involve such tasks as collection of Waste, Cardboard and Laundry around the Hospital site as required.
The Service will also support any Trust emergencies, incidents or event where required supporting the contingency and operation of the Hospital.
You will be required to work closely with your team and provide feedback which will assist in improving and developing the service via team meetings
