Directorate Secretary

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Family Services Division. The successful applicant will gain experience working at directorate management level acting as a Secretary to the Divisional General Manager. You will be working within a busy and demanding environment and will receive training, support and development from the team. The nature of this post requires the post holder to have a high level of organisational skills, experience of providing a support service to a senior management team including diary management and the organising and minuting of meetings.
The post holder will have an eye for attention to detail, be able to use organisational systems including those to support document control, have previous experience of arranging meetings and be confident in undertaking all other general administrative duties as required. The post holder will act as the first point of contact for enquires for service users and external stakeholders and will need to ensure compliance with the strict rules of Data Protection and Caldicott Guidelines and ensure strict adherence to the rules of confidentiality.
You will be organised and flexible in your working arrangements and should have good communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work on your own initiative when necessary. You will have experience of working in a similar environment. A working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Outlook is essential and experience of minuting meetings is vital.
The post will be primarily based at the SGH site, with travel to DPOW when required using the hospital shuttle service.
