Head of Building Operations

You will oversee the day-to-day management of our facilities at the Mulryan Centre for Dance, ensuring a welcoming, secure, efficient, clean, safe, and comfortable environment for all users. This includes:

  • Effective management of building operations, facilities management, and related responsibilities.
  • Proactive delivery of a high level of satisfaction and customer service to staff, clients, and the public.
  • Strategic use of facilities for sector support and leading on the delivery of regular and planned preventative maintenance.
  • Project management of building capital projects, including managing responsibility for capital repairs and maintenance.
  • Compliance with building and safety codes, legislation, insurance requirements, and user requirements.

Your key responsibilities as Head of Building Operations will include:

  • Ensuring building security is managed and planned for at all times.
  • Leading on the implementation of large and complex hires and overseeing day-to-day hire logistics.
  • Ensuring optimum performance of the building through managing contracts to strategic aims, warranty management, proactive improvements, and managing the repair and maintenance programme.
  • Project managing any building-related capital projects.
  • Ensuring compliance with all building and safety codes and legislation, insurance requirements, and user requirements.
  • Driving the provision of a safe working environment, working to develop and maintain a culture of safe working at the Mulryan Centre for Dance.
  • Producing an annual business plan for building management within an affordable budget.
  • Leading, developing, and managing direct reports, ensuring a high standard of work output, professional behavior, and resource management.
