About the Role

The Community Rehabilitation Service at NELFT is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Neurology and Community Occupational Therapy Specialist to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with complex neurological conditions, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, psychological, and cognitive needs
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to promote independence and functional ability
  • Liaise closely with multidisciplinary teams, including specialist nurses and other healthcare professionals
  • Provide education and support to patients and their carers on safe and effective use of equipment and adaptations
Requirements
  • Essential: Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy, HCPC registration, experience working as a Band 5 Occupational Therapist, and post-registration courses completed in relevant topics cognition
  • Desirable: Membership of a special interest group
