Job Overview

The North East London NHS Foundation Trust (NELFT) has an exciting opportunity for a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join their team in the Community Rehabilitation Service. This role will involve providing assessment, treatment planning, implementation, and evaluation of occupational therapy interventions for patients with progressive or acquired neurological conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, psychological, and cognitive needs
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to promote independence and functional ability
  • Liaise closely with multidisciplinary teams, including specialist nurses and other healthcare professionals
  • Provide education and support to patients and their carers on safe and effective use of equipment and adaptations
Requirements
  • Essential: Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy, HCPC registration, experience working as a Band 5 Occupational Therapist, and post-registration courses completed in relevant topics cognition
  • Desirable: Membership of a special interest group
