Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust is a leading healthcare provider in East London. We are seeking an experienced Radiation Therapy Team Lead to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Radiographer to lead our radiation therapy team. As a Band 7 Team Leader Therapy Radiographer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care while promoting best practice and innovation within the department.

The successful candidate will have excellent leadership skills, with a strong track record of managing teams and driving service improvement. You will also possess advanced knowledge of radiation therapy techniques, including IGRT, SABR, DIBH, and 4DCT.

Our department is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including Halcyon Linac + Identify SGRT, Edge + unit with SRS and SABR capabilities, and ARIA Rad-Onc EMR. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless delivery of care to our patients.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the development of our radiation therapy services. As a Radiation Therapy Team Lead, you will:

  • Lead the radiation therapy team in providing high-quality patient care
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve service delivery
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and teamwork
  • Contribute to the development of new technologies and treatments

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • BSc in Therapeutic Radiography or equivalent formal qualification
  • Health & Care Profession Council (HCPC) registration as a therapy radiographer
  • Minimum of 4 years postgraduate experience with specialist training, knowledge, and experience to master's level or equivalent
  • Practical experience in delivering a wide range of radiotherapy techniques
