Job Overview

The Division of Surgery – BHRUT NHS is seeking a skilled Therapy Assistant to join our team in the Oncology Department. As a key member of our Personalised Cancer Care team, you will play a vital role in providing support to patients living with a cancer diagnosis.

Our team has been recognised nationally for innovation in delivering virtual health and wellbeing services. We are now looking for a Band 4 support worker to join us in providing holistic needs assessments, care planning, and health and wellbeing information and support to our patients.

Main Responsibilities

As a Therapy Assistant, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing emotional support and guidance to patients and their families
  • Conducting holistic needs assessments to identify individualised care plans
  • Delivering health and wellbeing information and support to patients
  • Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery

Person Specification
