Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Stroke Care Professional - Occupational Therapist to join our team in the Community Rehabilitation Service. As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with complex neurological conditions, promoting independence and functional ability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, psychological, and cognitive needs
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to promote independence and functional ability
  • Liaise closely with multidisciplinary teams, including specialist nurses and other healthcare professionals
  • Provide education and support to patients and their carers on safe and effective use of equipment and adaptations
Requirements
  • Essential: Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy, HCPC registration, experience working as a Band 5 Occupational Therapist, and post-registration courses completed in relevant topics cognition
  • Desirable: Membership of a special interest group
