About the Role:

Corus Consultancy seeks a Temporary Support Worker to cover a 5-hour per week position, Monday to Friday from 9AM to 5PM.

Main Responsibilities:
  • To collaborate with clients in creating personalized support plans that promote strengths-based outcomes.
  • To conduct thorough assessments of client risk and develop effective strategies for mitigation.
  • To facilitate access to necessary healthcare services, promoting overall well-being among clients.
  • To assist clients in identifying and engaging with activities enhancing their quality of life, such as education, employment, and social programs.
  • To participate in organizing activities, drop-in sessions, or groups tailored to client needs or project initiatives.
  • To promptly address safeguarding concerns for vulnerable populations.
Required Skills:
  1. Experience in supporting individuals with specific needs, including mental health, physical wellbeing, substance misuse, safeguarding, and social inclusion.
  2. Understanding of client assessment, onboarding, and transition planning processes.
  3. Familiarity with common health issues impacting homeless individuals and barriers to healthcare access.
  4. Knowledge of housing pathways and transition routes for independent living.
  5. Proficiency in using personalized support planning tools, including motivational interviewing and strengths-based approaches.

Compensation: The estimated hourly rate is £19.34, calculated based on national averages for similar roles in the UK, taking into account location, experience, and industry standards.
