**Job Title**:Absence Coordinator

**Location**: St Pancras Hospital, NW1 0PE (Hybrid, attending meetings at St Pancras, St Anne’s or other locations when required and WFH the other days.)

**Hours/ Shift Pattern**: Monday
- Friday 9am-5pm (37.5 hours a week)

**Pay**:£16.55 per hour

**About the Trust**

Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust (C&I) provides high quality, safe and innovative care to our patients in the community, in their homes or in hospital.

We provide services for adults of working age, adults with learning difficulties, and older people in the London area. We currently deliver most of our care to residents in the London Boroughs of Camden and Islington. However, we also provide substance misuse services in Westminster, and a substance misuse and psychological therapies service to people living in Kingston.

**What you’ll be responsible for**:

- Perform administrative duties and tasks related to absence management.
- Regularly communicate with managers who have employees who are absent from work, updating the absence trackers with progress or updates on the matter and supporting line managers with queries and process throughout.
- Support managers with return-to-work discussions on the first date of employee’s return to work, or as soon as reasonably practicable, to ensure employees are fit to return to work and help manager work through any support/reasonable adjustment required in order to facilitate a successful return to work.
- Ensure manager is confident in the system and process in place for the on-going monitoring of absence.
- Produce attendance reports to the relevant line managers and department head and Senior People Partners on a regular basis for the purpose of continuous monitoring of absence in line with the absence management policies and procedures.
- Agree with line managers and employees on occupational health referral requirement and support with the management of the process

**You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust**:

2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times

3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

**You’ll have the following skills/experience**:

- Proficient in English and Maths (Essential)
- Previous administrative experience (Essential)
- Proficient in Microsoft packages e.g., Word, Excel and PowerPoint (Essential)
- Experience in managing ER queries and following policies and processes (Essential)
- Experience in managing specific absence management processes in line with appropriate policies (Desired)
- Experience of maintaining attendance management system (Desired)
- CIPD Level 5 qualified (Desired)
- This role may require you to show evidence of education to Degree level or at least 2 years relevant experience._
