Role Overview
Commercial Services Group is a leading provider of procurement and support services to education and public sector customers globally. As an HR and Payroll Assistant, you will be part of their HR Delivery team, responsible for providing an effective and comprehensive service to assist in the delivery of all Payroll/HR Services.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain working relationships with colleagues and external customers by keeping in regular contact.
- Maintain relevant entries on employee records, ensuring the quality and integrity of employee data, adhering to Data Protection.
- Prepare and apply HR data for processing, in accordance with procedures, regulations, and standards.
- Produce manual payroll calculations from gross to net, crosschecking others' work, checking all reports, and taking appropriate action.
- Accurately log telephone and email enquiries, retrieving data to support responses, offering advice, and solutions to provide timely resolution or escalation.
Requirements
- Sound knowledge of HR/Payroll processes and practices.
- Ability to plan and organise own workload, dealing with routine and unexpected tasks while delivering to tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Sufficient IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office packages.
- Ability to be extremely accurate, detailed, and confidential.
