Business Development Manager

The Account Manager will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining long-lasting customer relationships, collaborating closely with our experienced sales and technical pre-sales teams. This individual will be instrumental in growing existing accounts and penetrating new market segments, driving business growth and expansion.
Key Responsibilities- Account Management of selected strategic or development accounts, ensuring sales targets are met or exceeded.
- Develop strong, long-term relationships with customers' stakeholders and executive sponsors to achieve Key Supplier status.
- Operate within the agreed Account Management process and governance framework.
- Communicate progress against key initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
- Ownership and delivery of sales presentations, proposals, and tenders.
- Collaboration with internal operational and finance teams to ensure delivery of high-quality services to customers.
- Building awareness of Sword's capabilities across our global business.
- Contract ownership and negotiations.
- A demonstrable track record in an industry-related business account or sales management experience.
- The ability to develop and execute complex sales and account development strategies.
- A successful approach to developing new customer accounts.
- A proven track record of managing large and complex accounts, becoming a trusted advisor to customers.
- An ability to work across multiple disciplines.
- Strong multi-level relationship builder.
- A commercially focused mindset, articulate, and possess the ability to think strategically.
- A goal-oriented mindset and be target driven.
- An understanding of the typical Contracts and procurement process.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time-management skills.
- Experience working within the Energy sector, selling IT services and consultancy in the UK would be advantageous.
