About the Role

The Account Manager will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining long-lasting customer relationships, collaborating closely with our experienced sales and technical pre-sales teams. This individual will be responsible for driving growth in existing accounts and identifying new market opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute account management strategies to meet or exceed sales targets
  • Establish strong relationships with customer stakeholders and executive sponsors to achieve key supplier status
  • Operate within the agreed account management process and governance framework
  • Communicate progress against key initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
  • Deliver high-quality sales presentations, proposals, and tenders
  • Work closely with internal operational and finance teams to ensure delivery of exceptional services to customers
  • Build awareness of Sword's capabilities across our global business
  • Manage contract ownership and negotiations
Requirements
  • Demonstrable track record in industry-related business account or sales management experience
  • Ability to develop and execute complex sales and account development strategies
  • Successful approach to developing new customer accounts
  • Proven track record of managing large and complex accounts, becoming a trusted advisor to customers
  • Ability to work across multiple disciplines
  • Strong multi-level relationship builder
  • Commercially focused mindset, articulate, and possess the ability to think strategically
  • Goal-oriented mindset and target-driven
  • Understanding of typical contracts and procurement processes
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time-management skills
  • Experience working within the Energy sector, selling IT services and consultancy in the UK would be advantageous
