Deputy Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at a 25-bed residential care home. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Registered Care Home Manager in delivering high-quality care and services to our residents.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate and implement the assessment process for residents, ensuring their needs are met and their care plans are up-to-date.
- Develop and maintain effective communication channels with residents, families, and external stakeholders.
- Ensure residents receive guidance and support to access their welfare benefits and other entitlements.
- Lead and develop high-performing teams to maintain exceptional care and support standards.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records for compliance purposes, including data protection and regulatory requirements.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of healthcare needs, including vital signs monitoring and identifying deteriorating conditions.
- Be fully trained and compliant in the safe handling, ordering, storage, and administration of medicines.
- Implement and adhere to internal and external policies and standards, including those related to health and safety.
- Engage in continuous professional development to ensure knowledge and skills are relevant to the service.
- NVQ Level 4 or equivalent qualification.
- Advanced-level certified medication training.
- At least 2 years of experience in a Team Leader or Deputy Manager role.
- Previous experience in a residential care setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and on-call as necessary.
- Knowledge of developing care plans and familiarity with the latest care standards and legislation.
