Principal Strategic Engagement Advisor, APJ, T2K Win Room

AWS is seeking a highly motivated Principal Strategic Engagement Advisor professional to join the team focused on strategic initiatives. This is an individual contributor role who will work closely with Amazon senior management and cross-organization teams to develop differentiated strategic partnership opportunities, finding the right intersection between our goals, AWS Partner capabilities and accelerating customers transformation to benefit from cloud.

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and long-term about the needs of complex global businesses. A strong bias for action, strategic planning skills, quantitative analysis, and the ability to coordinate and deliver new initiatives across a highly-matrixed organization is essential.

This role will involve coaching APJ account teams, structuring complex deals and compelling proposals to best address industry business outcomes of our large enterprise customers holistically, allocating resources and investments, and reducing resolution time.

The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor and thought leader to the AGS sales leadership in the development of commercial strategy and deals, building strong internal relationships with leaders and counterparts across Amazon's diverse set of businesses.

Key responsibilities will include advising on commercial deal terms, understanding the competitive landscape and providing deal guidance to Account Teams to resolve technically complex deal scenarios and develop and support commercial strategies that drive significant business impact.

Additionally, the role will involve working with data to measure business impact, strategic costs and benefits of partnerships, and investment analysis of cloud economics, short term and long-term.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • 7+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience developing, leading, negotiating and executing corporate and/or business transactions
  • Experience selling to Fortune 1000 or Global 2000 organizations
