About the Role

We're seeking a seasoned Business Development Manager to drive the growth of Wise Platform in the DACH region. As a key member of our business development team, you'll be responsible for building and maintaining a strong pipeline of partnerships across our target verticals in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Execute Partnership Strategy: Work closely with the Wise Platform team to create and implement a comprehensive partnership strategy for the DACH region, identifying key opportunities and building relationships with potential partners.
  • Drive Sales and Revenue Growth: Collaborate with the business development team to develop and execute sales strategies, driving revenue growth and expanding Wise's presence in the region.
  • Improve Sales Processes and Approaches: Work on projects to enhance our sales processes and approaches, both within the region and globally, to drive growth and improve customer experience.
  • Collaborate with Product Teams: Share valuable feedback with product teams to guide product roadmap and improve end-customer experience.
Requirements
  • Fluency in German: You must be fluent in German to effectively communicate with partners and stakeholders in the region.
  • Experience in Tech Sales: You've sold tech products, ideally API solutions, but also traditional Correspondent Services via Swift into banks or large enterprises in the DACH region, with a proven track record of high-impact partnership delivery.
  • Strong Analytical Skills: You're analytical and data-driven, able to scope and size opportunities, and own and support financial negotiations with partners.
  • Customer-Focused: You're enthusiastic about helping customers and delivering on Wise's mission.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: You're familiar with the regulatory landscape in Europe and understand how international payments work today.
